Architectural Committee
Throughout the community there has been a recent increase in the number of home projects to the exterior of homes and properties. We would like to remind everyone including those in the townhomes of the following important requirements for any exterior updates or changes.
In accordance with our community Homeowner’s Association (HOA) legal documents (that each homeowner reviewed and signed when purchasing their home), it is the homeowner’s responsibility to request prior approval of our HOA Architectural Review Committee (ARC) before making any exterior updates or changes. Examples include (not limited to) siding, deck, patios, pavers, sheds, railings, fences, windows, landscaping, roof, doors, shutters, and changing exterior colors.
The architectural review process was written into our Declaration to maintain the architectural appearance and consistency of our Eagleview Community.
Additionally, the architectural review process notifies the homeowner, by way of their signed ARC form, of their full responsibility for all future maintenance costs for those changes to the exterior of their home. It is not the responsibility of the HOA.
When a home or townhome is sold, the new homeowner (buyer), has full responsibility for all maintenance costs for any of the exterior changes previously made to the home or property. The ARC form which the seller passes to the buyer and the HOA documents notify the buyer of this obligation.
If you are planning a change, you can find the ARC form at the link below. And if you have made a change and did not get approval, please submit an ARC form, and note the change has been completed.
